John Lee

John Lee set up the Infobase Europe agency early in 2018. He is focussed on developing the Infobase client base and on ensuring best practice in the delivery of a deeply curated, exciting and world-class collection of educational resources to European schools, libraries and universities. He believes strongly in the role of community within all publishing ventures and is excited by the ways the digital revolution allows us to harness and share ideas, both swiftly and collaboratively, to the great benefit of end-users be they readers, educators or students.

John has worked in the publishing industry for some 25 years building specialist lists in the fields of history, maritime, outdoors and sport. He was Publisher of the celebrated Conway list (now part of Bloomsbury plc) for some twenty years developing a loyal readership while also enjoying regular success in the bestseller charts. More recently John has worked as part of the business development team at digital content software company Librios, harnessing the needs of a client portfolio including world-class cultural institutions and leading visual publishers.

Ben Jacobs

Ben Jacobs is Director of Licensing and Business Development at Infobase and has worked for the company for over twenty years. In that time he has been at the forefront of the transition from print-media to an almost entirely digital offering of educational resources. Ben directs all sales of Infobase resources in international (non-US) markets and has a hard-earned, global reputation for ensuring the highest standards of service and delivery. He has developed a deep understanding of the needs of the Infobase client- and user-base and his position on the company’s editorial board ensures that such feedback is harnessed in the onward development of new and existing educational resources.

Based at the Infobase headquarters in New York City, Ben spends a large proportion of his time travelling across the world visiting schools and educational bodies, or attending and speaking at a variety of conferences and exhibits.
